Why Ceramic

Fired clay holds heat without scorching and does not warp or discolour the way thin metal does. The glaze wipes clean when wax drips, and the wall thickness keeps the outside cool enough to move a lit tealight from table to windowsill.

What size candle fits?

Standard tealights (about 38mm across). A few of the wider pieces will also take a small votive.

Are they safe to leave burning?

Treat them like any open flame — on a heat-tolerant surface, away from curtains and greenery, and not unattended. The ceramic itself handles tealight heat without trouble.

How do I clean out old wax?

Let the holder cool completely, then lift the wax out with a blunt edge, or warm it briefly with a hairdryer. Avoid abrasive scrubbers — they dull the hand-painted glaze.

Do they work as a gift on their own?

Yes — they are one of the few handmade pieces small enough for a Secret Santa or a hostess gift while still looking like a real present. Pair one with a box of tealights and it is done.
