What Makes These Different

A mass-produced paper towel stand is a chrome rod with a weighted disc. These are not that. Every piece is thrown or hand-built, painted freehand, glazed and kiln-fired individually, which is why one of these reads as an object on the counter rather than a fixture. The brushwork is never repeated exactly, so the one you receive is not quite like any other.

Sizes & Function

Most designs come in a 5" to 8" diameter to fit standard paper towel rolls — and yes, they fit standard kitchen roll too. Check each listing for exact sizing. Every holder has a stable, freestanding base built for one-handed tearing, so it's functional first and decorative second.

What size paper towel roll do these fit?

Our holders come in size options for 5", 6", 7" and 8" rolls, so you can pick the one that matches the paper towel or kitchen roll you actually buy. Choose your size from the options on any product page. Because each piece is shaped and fired by hand, dimensions vary very slightly from one holder to the next, and every piece is checked before it leaves the atelier.

Can I tear a sheet with one hand?

Yes. The open vertical slot lets you pull and tear one-handed — the ceramic body is weighted enough to stay put on the counter while you pull, so the holder doesn't lift or slide.

Is this a countertop or wall-mounted holder?

These are freestanding countertop pieces — they sit on a kitchen counter, island, open shelf or coffee bar with no drilling or mounting hardware. If you need a wall-mounted version, we can make one for you: because every piece is produced by hand in our own atelier, we can adapt a design to mount on the wall. Are ceramic paper towel holders dishwasher safe?

Yes — the all-ceramic holders are dishwasher safe. The one exception is our wood-base models, which should be cleaned by hand: wipe the ceramic with a damp cloth and mild dish soap, and keep the wooden base out of the dishwasher so it doesn't warp or lose its finish. For either type, avoid abrasive scourers and bleach, which dull the glaze over time.

What is the difference between a paper towel holder and a kitchen roll holder?

They are the same thing — kitchen roll holder and kitchen towel holder are the common terms in some countries, paper towel holder, paper towel stand or paper towel dispenser in others. Every piece in this collection works with both, and shipping is free to most countries with duties and taxes included.

Will the one I receive look exactly like the photo?

Very close, but not identical. Each holder is shaped, painted, glazed and kiln-fired individually in our atelier in Çanakkale, Turkey. Small differences in brushstrokes, glaze pooling, and tone are what tell you it was made by a person rather than a machine — no two are the same.

Can a paper towel holder be used for anything else?

Plenty of customers use ours as a toilet paper stand in the bathroom, a napkin holder on a dining table, or simply as a decorative ceramic piece on an open shelf. The shape is designed to look good empty as well as full.
