Which size fits my rolls?

Brands like Bounty, Sparkle, Brawny, Viva, Scott and Kirkland each sell the same paper in several roll sizes, so it's the format on the pack — not the brand — that decides which holder you need. Look for the word printed on the front:

5" · 13 cm: Kitchen roll, UK & Europe. Plenty, Regina, Zewa, Lotus and supermarket own brands. Slimmer than the American roll.
6" · 15 cm: Regular or Single roll, US. The plain single-roll pack — no size word on the front. Pick this if you shop in the US and aren't sure.
7" · 18 cm: Double or Select-A-Size. Marked “2X”, “Double” or “Select-A-Size” — the most common supermarket pack in the US.
8" · 20 cm: Mega, Triple, Family or Big Roll. The tall warehouse-club rolls — Costco’s Kirkland Big Roll, Sam’s Club, and any pack marked 3X or more.

Not sure which you have? Stand the roll on its end and measure straight across the circle — that’s the number that has to fit.

Roll sizes differ between brands and a roll gets thinner as you use it, so if you fall between two sizes, take the larger one — the roll should sit loosely, not wedge in. Every holder is shaped and fired by hand, so allow a few millimetres either way.
