Every ceramic cat mug in this design is thrown, glazed and painted by hand in our studio, then kiln-fired for a hard, glossy finish. Because the cat, cauldron and pumpkin are painted freehand, no two mugs are identical — slight differences in brushwork, line weight and glaze pooling are the signature of real handmade pottery, not a flaw.

Mass-produced Halloween mugs are transfer-printed, and that print fades in the dishwasher within a season.
