Handmade pottery, Nordic design

Each handmade pottery mug is shaped, glazed and decorated individually in our studio, then kiln-fired. The rustic finish is deliberate: it borrows from the plain, hard-wearing pottery Norse households actually used, rather than from fantasy film props.

The symbols on this mug

Mjölnir, Thor's hammer, was worn as a protective amulet across Scandinavia. The Valknut — three interlocking triangles — appears on Viking-age memorial stones and is associated with Odin. The longship carries them both: the vessel that made Norse expansion possible.
